Heavy-Duty Adjustable shelf bracket for glass,wood or other shelves from 1/4" to 1" thick and up to 12" deep. For maximum strength in drywall installations, brackets should be secured to a stud. Optimum spacing is 16" or less. The material directly behind the bracket can affect the bracket's performance: drywall can compress or dent - causing the front edge of the shelf to slant down. Maximum recommended weight per pair of brackets (correctly installed) is 50 lbs (23 kg). The brackets are secured to the substrate with one screw (provided).
